All of our qualified members of staff are responsibe for a group of children in the setting, you may hear them being called key workers. This enables us to dedicate time to meet the individual welfare and learning needs of your child.
At The Village Nursery we know how important it is to keep up to date with our practice. We encourage and support all our staff in achieving a high standard of practice, which benefits both the staff and children as enhanced and new skills are put in place. We are always striving to provide the best education we can for the children in our care in order to prepare them for starting school. PGCE - Support Officer
This allows our nursery to provide members of staff with in house training which is regular and consistent. The PGCE can lead in areas of staff development which is relevant to our nursery.
Early Years Practitioner (EYP)
This qualification ensures that those
working with children under the age of
five, benefit from the highest level of
training. The skills and experience
graduates acquire will not only give
children brighter futures, but also
enable EYTs to lead and inspire others
to give all children the start in life
Level 4 in childcare is a higher standard of practice and provides leadership skills as well as enhancing existing skills.
Level 3 is a level which Ofsted requires all staff to work towards. It provides good nursery practice and can be used as a stepping stone for level 4 or a degree in early years.
